Description
One of the most evocative places in Ferrara is a terrace in the Estense Castle complex, so suggestive that it is said to have inspi-red the most famous work by Ludovico Ariosto. Here, the pots of orange trees are protected from the cold of the winter season in a Renaissance loggia that encloses all the sparkling and envelo-ping smells of the orange trees, which remain there waiting for the next spring, when luxuriant nature awakens.
