"Much of the originality and signature of Purple Suede lies in the overdose of a very powerful woody suede note called Woodleather and the way it interacts with Tasmanian lavender. The formula for Purple Suede is very concise because I wanted to create something that expresses a lot of emotion, but in a minimalistic way. Starting with the feeling of dry Australian summers, I then added lavender, hyssop, pink pepper and ambery notes to create a perfume that celebrates Tasmania’s fields of lavender and the softness of a handmade leather saddle. It’s as if there is a farmer riding a horse through his fields in the fiery heat of the day."
