Vepres Siciliennes

This is Italy in all its beauty and complexity. An orchard of orange trees falling into the sea at that magically still time of the day when the deep afternoon heat subsides, and night is about to come. Sublimated, the sun drenched scents of a nature meet with those of the darkness ahead: Mandarin, grapefruit, orange, green leaves, pepper, cardamom, magnolia call... Jasmine, heliotrope, ylang-ylang and tuberose respond and mingle with cedar, amber and oak moss. Only then unexpected notes of osmanthus, raspberry, clove, plum, peach are revealed, softened by a subtle accord of coconut, caramel, and vanilla.
