Description

In May 1969, Richard E. Grant was 12 years old and flew from Swaziland to London on a trip with his parents. Emerging from Piccadilly Circus tube station, he was wide eyed in wonderment seeing the Eros statue and fountain, whose steps were crammed with patchouli-perfumed hippies. The combination of patchouli oil and petrol from all the traffic, proved an indelible inhalation! Earl Grey tea at Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly, with its Bergamot base and its well-worn leather chairs, proved to be a scent complimentary mix. He has bottled these heady memories, combining patchouli, bergamot, petrol, ginger and leather, into Jack Piccadilly '69. The 100ml bottle is sleeved in a Union Jack draw-string calico bag with luggage label attached to personalise once opened. Made in Great Britain and not tested on animals.

ALCOHOL DENAT., PARFUM, AQUA, LIMONENE, PPG-15 STEARYL ETHER, LINALOOL, CITRAL, GERANIOL, BHT

Perfumer's Word

"I’ve been led by my nose all my life. Having aimed it at plates of food, linen, fruit, books, necks, fabric, flesh, flowers, cars and everything else in between, to finally have a perfume of my own, is the realisation of a boyhood dream. All my favourite ingredients are here – lime, marijuana, mandarin, vetiver, pepper, cloves and gardenias. These earthy, citrus scents combine to conjure up the hypnotic and unisexy perfume I’ve imagined for so long. Our sense of smell is the shortest synaptic leap in the brain to our memory, and every one of these ingredients is like a sensory trigger. I’ve aspired to create a fragrance that is as lickably-more-ish, as it’s addictive. JACK is my ‘signature’ in scent."
