The element of surprise is one of New York City's trademarks. An exuberant fragrance that's full of contrasts, Flashback in New York is the latest scent from Olfactive Studio and it's a tribute to the bustling American city that stops for nothing, even the fiercest of snow blizzards.
Flashback in New York starts with an energetic blend of cumin, saffron and clary sage before the leathery heart, which is bolstered by a duo of jasmine and violet, appears. It swiftly evolves into an endlessly addictive accord of smoked birch, papyrus and vetiver which perfumer Jerome Epinette somehow manages to make retain both the ice-cold coolness alongside the dry spices of cumin and saffron.
